JESSICA ARCHIBALD
PURPOSE
welcome to travel through text. my favorite escape in life is to read. to immerse myself into a different world and perspective. i feel a loss when a book ends and i have to say goodbye to the characters i have become invested in.
i am your kathleen kelly and this is my shop around the corner! i have spent my whole career as an elementary teacher trying to ignite the love of reading in children. and adults!!
i have taught 6th, 5th, 3rd, and 1st grade. i have worked with kids who cannot read and kids who read at a collegiate level. i know adults who hate to read, "don't have time to read". and those who love to read. no matter who you are, finding the right book is everything in your reading journey. i am here to help you find the right book for yourself, and your children.
PERSONAL
i grew up in st george utah with two hilarious brothers and my loving parents.
i graduated from utah valley university in elementary education. i currently teach 3rd grade.
i married the love of my life, stephen, in 2013. we dream of being parents someday and have survived two failed rounds of IVF.
i am a type 1 diabetic.
i day dream of seeing the world and eating all the foods. we have made a small dent in our bucket list but the more we see the more endless it becomes!
if i could be anything else, i would be an interior designer. we bought a house that was built in 1895 and completely restored it ourselves. we just had it accepted on the national register of historical places by the united states department of interior. i am dreaming of the next house we'll save!
